WHAT IS COSMETIC BONDING?

Cosmetic Bonding Procedures use a tooth-colored resin based material to bond to the tooth, replacing small defects, covering areas of discoloration or defects in the tooth surface or shape.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF COSMETIC BONDING PROCEDURES?

If you are a candidate for cosmetic bonding, this technique is the least invasive technique to repair defects. Normally this can be done without the reduction of tooth surface and without local anesthetic.

HOW IS COSMETIC BONDING ACCOMPLISHED?

Done in one appointment, your tooth will be thoroughly cleaned in the area of the bonding to facilitate a strong bond. The enamel is left intact as the strongest bond is to the enamel. After cleaning and etching the surface area with a weak acid, tooth colored is applied in layers, beginning with a thin liquid bonding agent progressing to stronger areas of tooth colored material to assure an ideal color match to your tooth.
