A 38 year old male came in the office for his routine hygiene visit at which time decay was found in two of his back teeth.
At his first appointment, the two molars were prepared for porcelain crowns and the silver fillings were replaced with tooth colored fillings. Provisional or temporary crowns were placed for the interim while our laboratory fabricated the permanent crowns.

Since all the back teeth would be numb, a decision was made to replace the existing silver fillings and the gold crown with more aesthetically pleasing porcelain restorations.
During the final appointment, the patient’s crowns were fitted precisely and cemented permanently.
